A survey carried out in Europe in 2020 among non-users of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products (HTP) found the majority did not believe in the effectiveness of these products to aid smokers to quit. Only a fifth of respondents thought that e-cigarettes were effective in helping those who wanted to quit, while 12 percent believed heated tobacco products were effective.
