According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2021, around 10 percent of male respondents and eight percent of female respondents reporting having struggled with mental disorders over the past year. The one-year prevalence of mental disorders in men has steadily declined since 2001. Women, meanwhile, reported fluctuating numbers, though ultimately the prevalence rate decreased also.
