Gender pay gap at auction houses in the UK April 2021

As of April 5, 2021, women employed by auction houses Bonhams, Sotheby's, and Christie's in the United Kingdom recorded a lower median hourly wages than their male colleagues. As of that period, Bonhams had the highest median hourly pay gap among the selected companies, at minus 33.9 percent. This means that women working for the organization earned roughly 66 pence for every pound earned by men. Meanwhile, Sotheby's recorded the highest median bonus pay gap as of April 5, 2021, while Christie's did not report a gap in terms of bonus payments.
