Female unemployment rate in Egypt 2000-2020
Based on International Labor Organization estimates, the unemployment rate of women in Egypt reached almost 24 percent in 2020. This was an increase from around 21 percent in the previous year. On the contrary, Egyptian national estimates measured the female unemployment rate at nearly 18 percent in the same year. In spite of this difference, both estimates generally followed the same trend.
