On average, nearly 68 percent of the population in Africa lived in enumeration areas with access to an electric grid. However, the accessibility varied greatly among countries. In Tunisia and Seychelles, all enumeration areas were served by a grid. Additionally, the share surpassed 95 percent in Mauritius, Morocco, Cabo Verde, Eswatini, São Tomé and Príncipe, and South Africa. On the other hand, Madagascar and Zimbabwe recorded the lowest access rates, each at roughly 30 percent.
