According to a survey conducted in 2022, the share of respondents likely to save energy at their homes to limit their contribution to climate change in worldwide was 52 percent. Close to 71 percent of Chinese respondents planned to lead a more sustainable lifestyle concerning energy consumption by installing insulations or switching off lights.

The question posed during the survey was as follows:
"Thinking about things you might do in
order to limit your own contribution to
climate change, how likely or unlikely
would you be to make the following
changes within the next year?
Saving energy at home, for example by
installing insulation or switching off lights."
*The survey was conducted online, amongst adults aged between 16-74 in 30 countries and adults aged between 16-99 in Norway
