The maritime supply chain emissions at Rotterdam are estimated to be 13.7 million metric tons of carbon dioxide. This is roughly twice the emissions of Antwerp - the second most polluting port in Europe. Of the 10 most polluting European ports, three are in Spain.

Calculations are based on MRV figures and port's cargo trade from Eurostat databases mar_go_am and mar_pa_qm."
