According to a survey held between October 2020 and September 2021, 42 percent of responding newsroom employees in Central America had experienced sexual harassment. Additionally, 40 percent of journalists in Africa said that they had been sexually harassed. The survey was held among men, women, gender non-conforming individuals, and those who did not disclose their gender.
