The most common reason why Russians did not send their children to the university in the second half of 2020 was the high cost associated with obtaining education. More than a third of respondents held this opinion. Another 17 percent referred to the absence or insufficient number of free places.

The survey was conducted throughout Russia, in 80 regions.
Families with students of 8th to 9th grades (middle school) represented 68 percent of the sample. Families with students of 10th to 11th grades (high school) accounted for the remaining 32 percent of the sample.
