The United Kingdom's construction sector amounted to 6.2 percent of its GDP, the same as Germany. However, the UK figures refer to 2022, as there were no figures for 2023. While Austria's construction industry represented roughly 7.4 percent of its GDP, those figures amounted to roughly two percent in Ireland and Greece. In 2022, France and Germany were among the European countries with the highest construction production value.
