The public support for Turkey's potential membership in the European Union had a volatile ratio from 2005 until 2022. The most positive attitude of the Turkish public toward the EU membership was recorded in 2005, with 76 percent, when the full membership negotiations started for the first time. As of March 2022, the support of the Turkish public was at one of the lowest rates, with 49 percent.

The public poll was carried out by stratified sampling and weighting method in 28 provinces based on 26 regions according to the NUTS 2 system throughout Turkey.
