
Countries with highest quality of internet connectivity in Africa 2021
South Africa scored 100 points in the Africa e-Connectivity Index 2021, indicating that the country had the highest quality of internet connectivity on the continent. Mauritius and Egypt followed closely, with 96.56 points and 95.42 points, respectively. Closing the top five, Kenya and Tunisia scored respectively 89.6 points and 88.66 points. To develop the ranking, the source assessed 28 different indicators, including the number of mobile networks per country and the share of population covered by 4G networks. According to the index, Eritrea had the lowest quality of internet connectivity, achieving only 8.25 points.
