According to an online survey conducted in the United Kingdom in November 2021, 65 percent of children engaged with YouTube more than once in recent weeks. Therefore, YouTube was used more frequently by children than other popular online platforms, such as TikTok and Roblox. Furthermore, YouTube was used more by boys than it was by girls. Ranking in second place for boys was Minecraft, with 57 percent of boys saying they had played the online video game more than once in the last few weeks. In joint second place for girls were Roblox and TikTok, with 47 percent of respondents reporting engaging with the platforms multiple times per week.
