According to a 2022 survey of creators on Patreon, the share of respondents reporting not caring or categorically not wanting crypto payment was highest than the one reporting finding the option crucial or even a nice to have. Visual arts creators appeared to be less interested in such a way of payment, as 68 percent of them stated they would not like to accept crypto payments. Images creators appeared to be the group that was more interested in accepting crypto payments, with over 15 percent stating that the opportunity to receive payments in such a way is crucial, and around 23 percent of them reporting they would find the option nice to have.
