According to a survey conducted in 2020, around 50 percent of the media professionals in Africa were victims of verbal sexual harassment in the workplace. Physical sexual harassment was instead experienced by approximately 34 percent of the respondents. In general, women were more likely to be victims of sexual harassment than men.
