The Americas produced 111 billion liters of liquid biofuels in 2019, becoming the region with the largest liquid biofuel production across the globe. In order to produce bioethanol, a wide range of raw materials can be used - including sugarcane, sugar beet, cassava, sweet sorghum, or other cereals.
