Share of school teachers in Algeria 2020, by educational level
In the 2019/2020 school year, 40 percent of the school teachers in Algeria worked in primary education. In total, the number of teachers in primary school amounted to around 188,000. Middle education accounted for the second-highest share of teaching staff (34 percent), followed by secondary schools (22 percent).
