Inflation in West Africa was projected at 10 percent in 2022. This was a drop compared to 2021, when a rate of 12 percent was reached. Since 2000, the average inflation rate in the region was highest in 2005 at 15 percent. Moreover, in Africa the inflation was highest in East Africa as of 2022.
