In a survey conducted in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region on the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) imperatives in organizations, 41 percent of the respondents believed that lack of internal skills or expertise was the main barrier preventing their organization from implementing an ESG strategy. In comparison, 29 percent of the respondents believed that external issues such as political or economic uncertainty were the barriers to ESG strategy implementation.
