After peaking at over 109.27 index points in 2019, the monthly average number of people employed by movie theaters in Mexico decreased to 88.65 index points in 2023. The base for the index assumed by the Mexican statistical office is 2018. However, the industry's employments shows recovery from the effects of the COVID-19 economic downturn and is slowly increasing year by year.
