Experience with QR code payment fraud and compensation in Japan 2021

According to a survey conducted from November to December 2021, around 59 percent of consumers in Japan had never experienced QR code payment fraud. More than five percent reported having been a victim of QR code payment fraud, of which about 4.2 percent had received no or insufficient compensation.
