Distribution of land use in Egypt 2021
Agricultural activities occupied a small share of Egypt's land area in 2021. Only around 4.1 percent of the country's land was used for agriculture. The country is mainly covered by a desert, with the Nile River passing through, giving it a lifeline. Nevertheless, the area allocated for agriculture in the country has slightly increased since the beginning of the 21st century.
