Monetization channels used by global online content creators 2021
According to a survey of digital content creators conducted in 2021, approximately 23 percent of niche content creators reported selling their own physical products. Branded merchandise selling was used by 18 percent of non-niche content creators to generate revenues, while 10 percent of respondents in this group reported generating revenues via affiliate marketing deals. Premium newsletters were used by three percent of niche creators and by two percent of non-niche creators as a content monetization method.
