In 2020, the production volume of pigs intended for slaughter in Ethiopia reached nearly 42,010 heads. This was a slight increase from 41,340 heads in the previous year. During the observed period, the number of pig heads butchered for meat production in the country increased annually, except for a drop in 2016.
