During a survey conducted in Mexico in September 2021, approximately 48 percent of respondents said they would continue to spend the same amount of time watching cable TV and/or subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) content after the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 outbreak were lifted. Around 19 percent of the interviewees stated that they would reduce the time a little, while 12 percent said they would increase it a little. Over 90 percent of responding internet users subscribed to pay TV and/or video streaming services in Mexico in 2021.
