In 2020, around 27 percent of the youth aged 15 to 24 years in Morocco were not in education, employment, or training (NEET). The share was significantly higher among the rural population. Almost 33 percent of the young adults residing in rural areas in the country were NEET, compared to a share of 22 percent among urban areas.
