According to a March 2022 survey conducted in the United States, 60 percent of male respondents agreed with the statement that free speech did not mean that social media platforms were obligated to amplify or widely distribute every person's views. Additionally, 57 percent of women also agreed with this statement. Overall, 19 percent of all respondents disagreed with the statement that social media platforms did not have an obligation to amplify every user's opinion.
