According to a March 2022 survey conducted in the United States, 49 percent of all respondents agreed with the statement that the internet should be a free speech zone, where speech should be uncensored. Overall, 57 percent of men agreed with this statement, in comparison to 42 percent of women. Additionally, almost a quarter of men said that they disagreed with this statement, as did almost a third of women.
