A survey conducted in March 2022 showed that 73 percent of the Kenyan and Nigerian respondents were worried about the Russia-Ukraine war. The share was the highest among the surveyed African countries. In each nation, the levels of anxiety due to the war increased after Russia's invasion occurred.

- February 23, 2022 (pre-war launch) to a panel of 10,120 people across 41 countries in Africa.
- March 1, 2022 (post-war launch) to a panel of 11,278 people across 49 countries in Africa.
