Unsurprisingly, the popularity of pay TV in the U.S. is higher among older generations than among their younger counterparts, with over two in three Gen Z adults responding to a 2022 survey stating that they do no have a cable subscription. By contrast, the share of non-cable subscribers among baby boomers amounted to 43 percent.
