Africa's share of the global undernourished population 2000-2022
In 2022, it was projected that Africa made up almost 38 percent of the global undernourished population. The continent counted around 282 million undernourished people in 2022. Over the last two decades, Africa accounted for an increasingly larger share of the worldwide population suffering from this condition.
