Prevalence of undernourishment in Africa 2000-2022
As of 2022, the prevalence of undernourishment in Africa stood at 19.7 percent. The levels of food insecurity and hunger on the continent overall increased from 2014 onwards. In contrast, the share of people suffering from undernourishment in Africa had previously declined constantly from around 24 percent in 2000 to 15.6 percent in 2014.
