According to a survey on the change in consumption of edible oil by Indian households because of the rise in prices, 50 percent of respondents consumed the same amount of edible oil as before and paid from their savings every month. In comparison, 24 percent of respondents have reduced both their monthly consumption and spending on edible oil.
