Climate action: newspaper editorials in the United Kingdom (UK) 2011-2021

The data from this analysis showed that The Guardian newspaper published the most editorials calling for climate action in the United Kingdom between 2011 and 2021, with a total of 183 pieces written and published on the topic in that time period. Right-leaning newspapers and traditional tabloids were more likely to have published editorials arguing against climate action. The Sun, for example, published more editorials against climate action than in favor of, as did the Daily Mail. Meanwhile, Sunday papers (regardless of political leaning) only published a handful of editorials on climate action between them during the decade in question.
