Among the Russian business angels surveyed in 2021, 46 percent of respondents stated that they always got an option of co-investment with funds via a special purpose vehicle (SPV), which they actively or sometimes used. Further 15 percent said that this was never an option.

SVP (Special Purpose Vehicle) constitutes a subsidiary created by the parent company. Such subsidiaries are designated legally as separate companies, so that SVP obligations remain secure even if the parent company undergoes bankruptcy.
