Number of organic farming producers in Ethiopia 2002-2020
Ethiopia had 219,566 organic producers in 2020. This was an increase compared to the previous year when 203,602 Ethiopian organic producers were registered. The increase made Ethiopia the country with the second-largest number of organic producers globally, after India. Overall, as of 2020, Egypt had a total area of 234,000 hectares, used for organic agriculture.
