In 2021, orders for new LNG-fueled container ships increased compared with the previous year. That year, there were 1380 LNG-propelled container ships with a total capacity of some 1.67 million TEUs in the global order book, up from about 50 ships with a capacity of 720,000 thousand TEUs in 2020.
