The value of digital banking operations in the Netherlands increased steadily between 2016 and 2021. Since 2016, the value of operations carried out using desktops and laptops accounted for most customers' digital transactions, and it stood at 2.3 trillion euros in 2021. That year, the value of mobile banking transactions in the Netherlands stood at 279 billion euros.
