State-owned Petróleos de Venezuela, also known as PDVSA, domintated oil production in Venezuela in 2020, entitled to 398 thousand daily barrels. Other players operating to a smaller extent in the oil-rich South American country included Chevron and the Russian government. Venezuela's crude oil production stood at some 540 thousand barrels per day in 2020.
