The coronavirus pandemic brought many challenges in Italy, especially at its early stages. According to a survey conducted in November 2021, the availability of care and assistance services for families was one of them. Around one third of the respondents declared that the accessibility of home care services such as cleaning professionals, baby sitting, and caregivers for the elderly had worsened in the previous 18 months. Single parents with children seemed to be the most affected by this issue, together with individuals up to 50 years old.
