In 2023, a vast majority of Canadians, 76 percent, subscribed to and paying for at least one subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service. Among Canadians aged 18 to 34 years, the share was even larger at 87 percent. However, the SVOD penetration rates slightly declined from the previous year.
