Direct earnings from international tourism in Kenya amounted to some 296 billion Kenyan shillings (KSh), approximately 2.6 billion U.S. dollars, in 2019. Of this total, inbound visitors spent the most on accommodation, roughly 118 billion KSh (around one billion U.S. dollars). Other relevant receipts were realized from air passenger transport and food and beverage services.
