Total employment in agricultural sector in Algeria 2010-2019, by gender
Around 1.1 million people were employed in Algeria's agricultural sector in 2019. Men made up the majority of the agricultural workers, corresponding to around 990,000 people. In contrast, women working in agriculture amounted to only 68,000 in the same year. As of 2020, agricultural activities employed around 10 percent of the total working population in Algeria.
