In November 2021, six out of the 10 most-read print newspapers in the metropolitan area of Lima, Peru, belonged to the same holding. The Grupo El Comercio (GEC) runs Trome, Ojo, El Comercio, Depor, Perú 21, and Correo. Trome alone had almost 1.52 million daily readers that month, more than all the following nine titles combined. Around 55 percent of internet users surveyed in early 2021 expressed trust in El Comercio in Peru.
