According to a survey carried out in Mexico in 2021, the most commonly mentioned way people thought off when asked for potential treatments to deal with mental health conditions was psychotherapy, as indicated by around 58 percent of respondents. Treatments involving a combination of medications and therapy followed, with 26 percent of interviewees considering it a measure to deal with these type of conditions. Only two percent of respondents stated that relaxation was a way to cope with mental health issues. The share of respondents with symptoms of mental health conditions that sought out treatment and received it amounted to roughly 60 percent.
