Bumble and HER ranked second, with an index value of close to 68, respectively. Grindr had a reported index value of 62, while market leader Tinder was indexed with a value of 38.4.

The source developed a point rating based on four different types of data collected by the 50 most downloaded mobile dating apps from the Apple App Store: 1) Data not linked to a user (such as app crash data); 2) Data linked to a user (such as names); 3) Data used to track users (such as User ID); 4) Data for third-party advertising.
