Share of women in executive positions in India 2017-2022
In 2022, a survey among 250 Indian companies revealed that the share of women in the Chief Executive Officer or Managing Director roles in India reached 55 percent. This reflected a significant growth from 2017, in which women in executive positions accounted for merely seven percent. According to the source, despite the rapid growth of women in leadership roles, the gender gap in these positions still remains.
