Share of women in leadership positions in India 2022, by role
In 2022, a survey among 250 Indian companies revealed that the share of women in the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) roles in India reached 55 percent, which was more than double the global average of 24 percent. In comparison, the share of Indian women in the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) roles amounted to respectively 35 percent and nine percent in that same year.
