In the United States, it is clear that Amazon Prime dominates the mass retail and subscribtion services market with an estimated 166 million memberships as of 2022. In comparison, Costco and Sam's Club have approximately 142 million memberships combined.

Respondents were 47 years old on average, and 52 percent were female. Thirty-two percent of respondents had college degrees and 36 percent of respondents declared an annual income of more than 100,000 U.S. dollars. Additional proprietary data from PYMNTS was used for supplementary analysis.
