According to a survey that was conducted in Japan in January 2022, about 44 percent of the Japanese companies that participated in the survey stated that they planned or completed energy conservation as a measure to reduce their own direct greenhouse gas emissions. Around 48 percent of the companies stated that they considered conversion to natural gas and electrification of transportation as measures to reduce direct emissions.
